Bill Heath is a Graduate Student in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Texas at Austin. Bill earned B.S. degrees in Chemistry and Biology from King College in May 1999.  Bill worked as an analytical chemist at Wyeth-Ayerst Pharmaceutical from July 1999 to July 2001 before enrolling at the University of Texas at Austin in August 2001.  

Research Areas:

Non-chemically Amplified Deep-UV Photoresist
- Synthesis, characterization, and evaluation of diazopiperidione deep-UV photoactive         compound (PAC).

Red-Shifted and Triplet Sensitized Photobase Generators (PBG)
- Synthesis of triplet sensitized and red-shifted urethane oxime-based PBGs.
- Photophysical and material analysis and evaluation in photoimagable polyamicester.

Thermally Reversible Urethane crosslinkers
- Design and synthesis of urethane model compounds and crosslinkers for use in strippable imprint lithography photoresist.
- Evaluation of material thermal properties via TGA, DSC and IR.
